What We Do
At Praxis Midwifery, PLLC, I bridge theory and practice to advance midwifery care across the Southern United States. My work spans hospital and healthcare consulting, expert witness services, and health systems research in implementation science.
Practice or organization-specific services include perinatal quality improvement project consultation or coordination; professional education at grand rounds, continuing education sessions, and keynote addresses; and practice level consultation to assist organizations delivering evidence-informed, high-quality, person-centered care.
I also serve individual midwives or midwife teams seeking practice-level support including collaborative agreements; practice guidelines; hospital privileging; and case review related to professional practice resulting in disciplinary action or litigation claims.
Our Values
Praxis means the merging and action of both theory and practice. I am a midwife scientist and clinician, dedicated to serving the discipline and profession of midwifery.
My work is guided by core values including:
- Integrity – guided by honesty & ethical convictions grounded in service and love
- Accountability – myself, my family, you, the profession of midwifery, and the community
- Holding space – supporting, guiding, & encouraging you along our journey
- Collaboration – because no one works alone
- Creativity – open to finding pathways to build, remodel, or tear down optimal processes
